General Schedule

The tour will begin with a Kick-Off Supper in Blackshear, Georgia, on Monday, June 10, and end in Live Oak, Florida on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.

• Monday, June 10, 2019
  The tour will begin with a Kick-Off Supper at Johnson’s Pond House, Johnson’s Pond House, 5395 Hacklebarney Rd, Blackshear, GA.
  Supper will be served at 7:00 p.m.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites - 1761 Memorial Drive, Waycross, Georgia  31501  (912-548-0720)  or Hampton Inn (confirmation no. 97963303) (912-285-5515).
Identify yourself as part of the "Tobacco Tour" for special rates. Other hotels are available in the area.

• Tuesday, June 11, 2019
  Tuesday morning, the tour will leave Waycross, Georgia at 7:30 a.m. to visit Georgia tobacco farms, on-farm demonstrations and producers.
  Lunch will be in Georgia. After noon, we will visit several additional on-farm demonstration sites in Georgia and end in Tifton, GA., for the evening.

Tuesday evening, the Georgia Tobacco Tour headquarters will be the Holiday Inn Express in Tifton, Ga. (PH: 229-382-3300) or the Hampton Inn-Tifton (229-382-8800) located off Exit 62 on I-75 and GA Hwy 82. Identify yourself by June 4, 2019 as part of the "Tobacco Tour" for special rates. Complimentary breakfast is included with the room. Other hotels are available in the area. Directions for supper will be available at check-in.

• Wednesday, June 12, 2019
  Wednesday morning, the tour will leave the Applebee’s parking lot in Tifton at 7:30 a.m. and visit the Bowen Farm of the Coastal Plain Experiment Station on the University of Georgia Tifton Campus. The tour will leave Tifton and visit additional on-farm demonstrations in Georgia and Florida. The tour will end near Live Oak, Florida.
